Recreational opportunities for living a healthier lifestyle are one of the greatest assets to Navarino. The East side of Green Bay is pretty well networked with trails. In Navarino you're always within a few blocks of a trail. Navarino offers quick access to the Fox River, East River and Baird Creek trails, approximately 18 miles of trailways.
East River Trail Update
On February 8th, 2010 there was a presentation given at the monthly meeting about plans to extend the East River trail from the Cora Vanderperren portion at N. Baird St. behind East High School westward to meet up with the Fox River Trail at the bridge on the north end of Monroe Ave.
A PowerPoint presentation was given showing the proposed path of the trail along with short and long term solutions to some of the problems associated with placing the trail.
